Say hello to the MOTU 10pre - formidable 1U rack-mounted audio interface engineered for macOS, Windows, iOS, and iPadOS environments. Boasting robust 26x28 physical I/O (and an impressive 54 total channels), the 10pre seamlessly connects via 40 Gbps Thunderbolt™ 4 or USB4, leveraging high-performance, low-latency drivers to deliver ten pristine mic/line/instrument inputs.
Universal Connectivity
This interface offers truly universal connectivity, compatible across Thunderbolt 4, USB4, USB3, and USB2, ensuring a future-proof setup capable of handling up to 256 audio channels (128 in and 128 out) with a remarkable roundtrip latency of less than 1.9 ms (at 96 kHz with a 32 sample host buffer). A secondary Thunderbolt port further expands its utility, functioning as a hub for additional peripherals. The front panel is a hub of intuitive control, featuring a vibrant 3.9-inch full-color TFT display for high-resolution metering across all I/O. Two independent headphone outputs, comprehensive control room features like talkback and A/B/C monitor select, and accessible input controls (gain, pad, phantom power) underscore its studio-centric design.
Complementing its robust hardware, the 10pre integrates an AVB network switch, allowing for scalable daisy-chaining of up to eight compatible MOTU units over standard Ethernet, facilitating hundreds of network audio channels with ultra-low latency.
At its core, a powerful 32-bit floating point DSP engine drives a 64-channel mixer accessible via the included CueMix Pro™ app, offering comprehensive routing, 4-band parametric EQ, compression, HPF, Gate, and even standalone mixing with Wi-Fi control from iOS devices.
