S6 Customization
Design the perfect mixing surface for your workflow. S6 is fully modular, enabling you to build your own system with an accompaniment of Fader, Knob, Process, and Display Modules. Add optional modules for surround and post mixing. Personalize it further with a variety of accessories, from keyboard and script trays to speaker mounts. And because it can be scaled horizontally and vertically, you can configure the surface with the modules you need now to fit your budget, with room to expand in the future as your needs grow.

Create custom knob layouts
Map the controls of an inserted plugin to your surface—for any plugin, from any EUCON-enabled DAW. You can also map layouts that target different areas of your surface. Even the default EQ and DYN function maps can be rearranged. This makes it easy to create custom knob layouts for all of your favorite plugins.

View PEC/DIR metering on your displays
Working with Post Modules and Display Modules? You can link them together, enabling you to view tracks from post layouts in five different metering views, two different color options, and up to 16 wide surround formats. Both input and output meters from any track, from any workstation, can be assigned to these post layout tracks.

Work faster with fewer touches
VCA Spill and Folder Track spill give you the ability to expand track folders onto separate tracks happens with a single touch. Rename Pro Tools tracks by simply double-tapping on the Home screen's track name in the Master Module. Access parameters quickly by expanding plugins across knob modules. View gain reduction and variable speed Pro Tools waveform scrolling. You can even edit clips directly from a channel strip.

With the free Avid Control app, you can control track recording, playback, and other transport functions on your S6 remotely from an iPad, giving you the flexibility to position yourself anywhere in the studio while mixing a music or audio post session. (Great for ADR and Foley applications.)

Expand control across your network
Through EUCON, S6 communicates directly with Pro Tools and other DAWs on your network. Simultaneously control up to eight audio workstations—even workstations in other rooms across your facility—with incredible responsiveness, making it easy to configure, scale, and reconfigure the surface.
