Now Available: Avid NEXIS 2026.6 Released June 30, 2026 | Recommended for all Avid NEXIS systems The release focuses on OS and platform modernization, expanded cloud scalability, better performance, and improved operational visibility and API extensibility through the Management Console. NEXIS 2026.6 is a recommended upgrade for all Avid NEXIS systems.   What's New in 2026.6 Expanded Collaboration on AWS Avid NEXIS | Cloud Storage (AWS) now supports up to 600 simultaneous active clients — giving large facilities and cloud-scale operations more headroom to grow cloud editing, remote production, cloud ingest, and multi-site workflows without rearchitecting their storage infrastructure.    OS and Platform Modernization Rocky Linux is now a supported operating system for Avid NEXIS | VFS Gateway, removing OS blockers for customers who have standardized on Rocky Linux as the CentOS successor and helping NEXIS fit cleanly into existing enterprise IT footprints.  Ubuntu 24.04 LTS clients are now supported, allowing facilities running current LTS workstations to connect without OS version workarounds, reduce version-pinning, and keep cloud workstations aligned with modern IT standards.    Enterprise Security: PKIX Certificate Support Avid NEXIS | VFS Gateway now supports PKIX certificates, helping customers meet common enterprise and government security requirements, reduce reliance on security exceptions, and streamline deployment approvals in regulated environments.    Operational Visibility in the Management Console System Status History is now available in the Avid NEXIS Management Console, giving operations teams a historical view of system state so they can investigate incidents faster, identify trends, support capacity planning, and report on availability with greater confidence.  The Avid NEXIS Management API documentation is now accessible directly within the Management Console, giving administrators and integrators in-context reference that speeds automation, troubleshooting, and integration work. This documentation is also available to the public: https://api.nexis.avid.com/    Hardware and Installation Updates Kioxia 15TB SSDs are now qualified as Media Pack drives for Avid NEXIS | F2 SSD, giving customers a higher-density storage option that increases capacity within the same chassis and rack footprint.  The Windows Client Installer includes updates that streamline client deployment in Windows-based editing environments, helping IT teams reduce deployment overhead across larger workstation fleets.  This release also includes bug fixes and overall system improvements. Version Support Status   Please review the current support status for your Avid NEXIS version:   Version    Status    Avid NEXIS 2022.x and older    No longer supported. Customers on these versions are strongly encouraged to upgrade.    Avid NEXIS 2023.x and 2024.x    No longer recommended for new installations. Upgrade to 2026.6 is advised.    Avid NEXIS 2026.6    Current recommended release for all Avid NEXIS systems and clients.
